Baton Rouge STEM has set a goal to raise $5,000 on Giving Tuesday. We currently serve students through in-school and after-school programs in 13 elementary, middle and high schools in the region. Additionally, we regularly offer community programming on Saturdays and upon request for community events. To maximize the learning experience for our program participants, we are hoping to secure the following with your support.
Structural Engineering Workshops – Each of our school and community sites will participate in our bridge building competition. We must purchase materials and supplies ($50 per student).
Rasperry Pi’s – Raspberry Pi is a series of small single-board computers developed in the United Kingdom by the Raspberry Pi Foundation in association with Broadcom.
Apple Ipads – 10.2-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit Multi-Touch display with IPS technology.
Mini Drones – Snaptain S5C-720P WiFi FPV Drone with 720P HD Camera, Voice/Gesture Control, RC Quadcopter for Beginners Black
Robot Kits – UBTECH JR0602 Jimu Robot BuzzBot & MuttBot – App Enabled STEM Learning Robotic Building Block Kit
This will help us to bring coding, robotics programming, aeronautical engineering and basic electronics to students across our service area.
